"Om Mani Padme Hum", a new immersive exhibition project
The "Om Mani Padme Hum" project is a series of immersive exhibitions exploring our six senses through physical and spiritual journeys. It is primarily rooted in Himalayan, Buddhist, Hindu, and Shinto cultures.
Conceived as a shared experience, accessible to all, these exhibitions are specifically adapted for visually impaired visitors and people with disabilities. They unfold through several immersive sub-projects, guided by the rhythm of the seasons and a spiritual dimension that forms their common thread.
This work is intended to offer everyone a moment of conviviality, reconnection, and discovery. These experiences are expressed through a sense of wonder toward Life and Nature.
Un bel Hiver dans l’Himalaya / A beautiful Winter in the Himalayas : a rediscovery of the Everest region, reaching the foot of the highest summit on Earth.
La grande Traversée Automnale / The great Autumn Crossing : a crossing of the Manaslu and Annapurna massifs, via Lake Tilicho, to Annapurna Base Camp.
Le Printemps des 88 temples sacrés de Shikoku / The Spring of the Shikoku's 88 sacred temples : a pilgrimage in five stages — Awakening, Asceticism, Illumination, Nirvana, and Mount Koyasan.
These spiritual journeys, undertaken as pilgrimages or long-duration treks, at a slow and gentle pace, open a space for reflection and introspection. They awaken senses that are sometimes forgotten or buried, inviting us to rediscover our feelings and perceptions.
The physical and psychological efforts involved call for genuine self-transcendence. They make us feel alive. They activate the body, purify the mind, and detach us from a stressful yet comfortable world, bringing us closer to a reality that is simpler, more soothing, and more essential.
By fully living these moments, priorities become clearer. Breathing grows deeper and calmer. We gain perspective. We take care of ourselves, and empathy toward others becomes natural. By listening to our bodies, a reconnection takes place, giving rise to kindness toward ourselves and toward the world.
