Japan - Kumano Kodo Trail 2014

The Kumano Kodo Trail is a 5-day pilgrimage through several important Japanese cultural sites. It was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2004.
Pilgrims (henro) can start this spiritual journey from several towns (map), including Koyasan. I choose the town of Kii Tanabe to begin this new adventure on the Nakahechi Imperial Route.
