A beautiful Winter in the Himalayas
A photographic exhibition exposition by Jehan Lérin
While the city bustles with inhabitants and UNESCO-listed cultural sites, the towering mountain range, flanked by eight of the world’s highest peaks, resembles a mineral desert. Silent and majestic, the Himalayas are dizzying, evoking the immeasurable and putting us back in our rightful place in the face of their immensity.
Presented through a series of 41 black-and-white photographs (45 x 55 cm) in warm, timeless tones, this visual testimony is born of a rediscovery of the Everest region in the winter of 2013, along with a wander through the streets of Kathmandu and its cultural and historical gems.
