Ama Dablam, a majestic pyramid, and the surrounding snow-capped peaks watch over the silent village, where empty enclosures evoke the summer pastures.
Inside the lodges, the staff prepare supper, and soon the trekkers will enjoy a restorative night. Tomorrow, a new day at the foot of Everest will fill them with wonder once again.
